A few local street artists / painters invited me to film them painting a mural at Rockford College. Though they typically paint their work on public property, where it is briefly seen and soon removed by the local authorities, the college had chosen to show some of their studio work in a gallery exhibition. As they collaborated on the mural, they shot some timelapses and I shot slow-motion footage of their process, then edited it together to form this montage. The final video was played on an old console tube television — getting that thing to work was probably the hardest part of the project! ...I miss the 90s.

After seeing a great live performance from this Rockford-based hip hop artist at Kryptonite bar, I translated his song "Dear Winter" into a concise music video. In one day we wrote the visual version of his verse — a regular guy washing his clothes in a laundromat, complaining about the poor weather and fantasizing about the summer as if she were a lost love. The calendar effect was achieved through chromakeying and motion tracking in Adobe After Effects.

Written, produced, directed, shot, edited and composited by me.
